You’re invited to attend the District 88 crosstown tackle football game on Oct. 15

It’s football season, and District 88 invites all students, parents/guardians, alumni, staff, community members and friends to attend the District 88 crosstown tackle football game between the Addison Trail Blazers and the Willowbrook Warriors!

See the event details below.

What: District 88 looks forward to seeing everyone to enjoy a night of football, friendship and fun!

• Just before the game begins and the teams take the gridiron (about 7:15 p.m.), there will be a special introduction of local community leaders, dignitaries, service groups, first responders and veterans.

• During the game, Willowbrook Athletics will host its 2nd Annual Reading for Raymond event in loving memory of Willowbrook Warrior Superfan Raymond Hildreth, brother of Willowbrook staff member and head football coach Nick Hildreth.

Raymond loved cheering on the Warriors, and he loved reading! Willowbrook will collect children’s books at the entry gate to be donated to Raymond's home school district, District 45. Willowbrook student-athletes plan to deliver the books in person and read to elementary classes.

Attendees who give a book will receive a free bag of popcorn, a raffle ticket for a spirit wear giveaway and a raffle ticket for a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card – all courtesy of the Willowbrook Athletic Booster Club. See the flyer above for more details.

When: The varsity football game will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2026. A special introduction of local community leaders, dignitaries, service groups, first responders and veterans will take place just before the game begins (about 7:15 p.m.).
