Willowbrook music students earn 1st-place ratings at Midwest Band Festival

On Feb. 24, Willowbrook’s Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band competed in the Midwest Band Festival at Lemont High School.

Both groups performed two pieces and earned Superior 1^st-place ratings. The Symphonic Band also placed 3rd in its class.

Thirty schools participated in the event, and each music group was judged on intonation, tone, rhythm accuracy, overall presentation and professionalism.
