Willowbrook hosts Homecoming 2023
From Sept. 18 to 23, Willowbrook celebrated Homecoming Week with several events and activities. This year’s theme was “A Night in Hollywood,” and students and staff showed their Warrior Pride and school spirit throughout the week. Highlights included:
Sept. 20:
- Dodgeball tournament and bonfire
- More than 150 students participated in the tournament. Members of the winning team are seniors Owen Riesen, Vincent Aiello, Noah Brockie, Kevin Ranieri, Ryan Knebel, James Burns, Aiden Baerenklau and Ryan Cuccinotto.
Sept. 22:

- The team won against Dundee-Crown.

- The team won against Hinsdale South.

- A moment of silence for Willowbrook junior Sean Presley took place before the football game and the pep assembly. Presley passed away on Sept. 17 and was a member of the Willowbrook Varsity Football Team. Students, staff and community members wore red on Sept. 22, which was Sean’s favorite color. Sept. 24:

- Homecoming Dance, “A Night in Hollywood” (Click on the image above to view a photo gallery from the Homecoming Dance.)
- About 1,200 students attended the dance. The event included refreshments provided by The Brook Catering Co., which is comprised of Willowbrook students who are enrolled in culinary classes at the school.
