At Willowbrook High School, one of our mottos is “One school. One family.”
It was never more apparent that our students, staff and community members truly live the Warrior Code of being respectful, responsible and engaged then when we recently lost one of our students. We can’t express enough how much we appreciate the outpouring of support, and it’s that level of coming together that makes Willowbrook such an amazing place.
Our thoughts and hearts are with the family members and friends of sophomore Cecelia “Cece” Meier, who passed away on Jan. 29. It is always difficult to lose a member of our Willowbrook family, and we will continue to help each other through this difficult time. On Feb. 4, we wore purple and green to honor Cece, and students also showed support by changing their social media profile pictures to an image of a candle with butterflies and a purple background.
Meier was a true Willowbrook Warrior in every sense of the word and made an impact throughout our school community. She will forever be remembered – as we say, “Once a Warrior, Always a Warrior.”
With Warrior Pride,
Dan Krause
Willowbrook Principal
