On Jan. 6, Willowbrook alumna Jamie Karas (class of 2007) met with members of Willowbrook Thespian Troupe No. 94 during a Masterclass to share her experiences as a professional in the theatre industry.

During the event – which took place virtually because of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic – Karas provided students with advice about the value of work ethic, creativity and attitude in the workplace.

Karas, who was a member of Troupe No. 94 while at Willowbrook, received her bachelor degree in props from Northern Illinois University and is now a Freelance Prop Designer at Karas Props. She is an active member of the Chicago theatre scene and is one of the go-to prop designers in the area.
