Willowbrook senior to compete in SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference

Willowbrook senior Jordan Nolte has qualified to compete in the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, which will take place from June 24 to 28 in Kentucky.

Nolte will compete in the Automotive Service Technology event, after recently finishing in 1st place at the SkillsUSA Illinois State Leadership & Skills Conference.

Nolte has been offered more than $27,500 in scholarships from three trade schools – Universal Technical Institute (UTI), WyoTech and Lincoln Tech. He plans to attend UTI, where he will receive a $10,000 scholarship and access to a specialty program called the Ford Accelerated Credential Training (FACT) program. Nolte also has received prizes worth about $1,500.
