On April 13, 83 Willowbrook students who are enrolled in Spanish 3 Honors at the school took a field trip to attend the Chicago Latino Film Festival.

During their visit, the students watched “Ten Days without Mom / Mamá se fue de viaje” and enjoyed a picnic lunch from 5411 (an Argentinian food truck) in Grant Park.

“The festival was a tremendous cultural experience for our students,” said Holly Fournier, Willowbrook world language teacher. “They were able to practice their language skills and see firsthand how what they’re learning in the classroom applies to the real world.”
