Willowbrook gets into the spirit of the holidays

This holiday season, Willowbrook has gotten into the spirit with several festive events.

Sounds of the holidays

  • On Dec. 3, Willowbrook’s CenterStage performed during the Villa Park Chamber of Commerce’s Joyful Traditions event. The group was sponsored by Willowbrook alumnus Tom Higgenson, lead singer for the band the Plain White T’s.
  • On Dec. 6 and 8, Willowbrook hosted its annual Holiday Concert I and Holiday Concert II. Concert I featured performances by Beginning Guitar, Guitar Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Beginning Mixed Chorus, Treble Choir and Concert Choir. Concert II featured performances by Percussion Methods, Freshmen Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble.

Holiday Celebration and “Ugly” Sweater Day

Willowbrook hosted a Holiday Celebration and "Ugly" Sweater Day on Dec. 16. Top left: Willowbrook Dean Julio Del Real (left) and Director of Deans Jose Jaramillo showcase their "ugly" sweaters. On Dec. 16, Willowbrook staff, administrators and retirees, along with District 88 administrators and District 88 Board of Education members, attended Willowbrook’s annual Holiday Celebration. The event was an opportunity to enjoy a lunch together and to spread holiday cheer. Willowbrook staff and students also dressed in seasonal gear for “Ugly” Sweater Day.
