Willowbrook hosts State sendoff celebration for members of the Special Olympics Basketball Team

On March 10, Willowbrook students and staff filled the gym to wish members of the school’s Special Olympics Basketball Team good luck as they prepared to compete in the Special Olympics State Basketball competition.

The competition took place from March 11 to 13 at Illinois State University. Willowbrook students who participated are freshman Nicholas Egan, sophomore Isabella Iasillo, sophomore Rhiannon Iasillo, freshman Abdul Jalal, junior Alexandra Leo, freshman Mohammad Salamah, freshman Jack Tincknell, freshman Madelyn Tincknell, sophomore Shane Worden, freshman Issic Silva, junior Jose Simental and freshman Diego Saenz.
