Village of Lombard Youth Leadership Program

The Village of Lombard is hosting the 2016 Youth Leadership Program. High school students who live in Lombard are encouraged to apply for the program to learn from leaders in Lombard’s Village Manager’s Office, Finance, Community Development, Police, Fire and Public Works departments. The program will take place in April.

The Youth Leadership Program is an initiative of the village’s Community Relations Committee, which is focused on creating and fostering relationships between the Village of Lombard and its residents.

“The goal of the program is to provide the opportunity for high school-aged Lombard students to learn about the inner workings of their local government,” said Robyn Pike, Community Relations Chair and Village of Lombard Trustee. “It also allows students to see how each department works together to get things done. This is a fun experience, a great way to learn about the village, and it also could be a helpful addition to college résumés.”

Students interested in applying should fill out the application at https://www.dupage88.net/site/public/files/?item=2744 and e-mail it to meadea@villageoflombard.org, or return it to Village Hall, by March 25.
