Counseling Corner: Addison Trail Guidance Department provides opportunities for sophomores to plan for the future

On Nov. 4, 5, 11 and 12, Addison Trail sophomores will meet with their counselor to discuss their next two years at Addison Trail, as well as their post-high school plans.

Students will receive a copy of their transcript to review and will complete a Four-Year Plan for their junior and senior courses. Students also will use Naviance to explore careers through taking various surveys that will assess their personality and interests to help discover possible future careers.

Sophomores also will have an opportunity to review the education requirements for various careers, along with employment outlook and income projections on a state-by-state basis. Students are able to access Naviance outside of school at www.succeed.naviance.com/Addison, and the Addison Trail Guidance Department encourages parents/guardians to have a conversation with their son or daughter about his or her career interests. Parent/guardian login information will be sent in November and December.
