Mission Statement
The Addison Trail High School Career & Technical Education Department strives to help every student to develop the skills and obtain the knowledge necessary to be successful beyond high school in their personal and professional lives. Students have the opportunity to pursue courses in the following areas: Business, Family & Consumer Sciences and Industry & Technology. CTE courses enable students to think and make decisions, simulate real-world experiences and apply academic/core subject matter to real work situations. CTE students have the opportunities to prepare for current and emerging careers, while focusing on being responsible and productive adults in the workplace.
Students have the opportunity to participate in national youth organizations in each of the three CTE areas. Students focus on developing their leadership skills and using their content skills in a competitive setting. Those youth organizations are Business Professionals of America (BPA), DECA, FCCLA and SkillsUSA.
