Willowbrook hosts Senior Recognition Assembly

On May 30, Willowbrook celebrated the end of the 2013-14 school year with its annual Senior Recognition Assembly.

During the assembly, seniors were honored for their achievements in a variety of areas. Those areas included scholarship recipients, department awards for outstanding seniors, Human Relations Awards, National Merit Scholars, PSAE Scholars, District 88’s Best, top-5-percent recognition, Illinois State Scholars, President's Award for Educational Achievement recipients and more.

Staff members also were highlighted. Special education teacher Jeffrey Reher was named as this year’s Outstanding Achievement recipient, and Nelda Byers, Maggie Dickow, Elizabeth Gray, Andy Isaacson, Ann Kimpton, Joyce Kordas, Bryan Murphy, Linda S. Nystrom and Pat Picardi were honored as this year’s retirees.
