It has been more than 15 years since Ann Kimpton (now an Assistant Principal at Willowbrook) came up with the idea to implement a literary magazine at Willowbrook.
And the magazine, called “Mindprints,” is still going strong. The magazine displays pieces of art and literary works created by students. This year, about 70 pieces of art were displayed during the magazine’s release party on May 28 at Funky Java Coffee House, 40 S. Villa Ave. in Villa Park.
For those who were unable to attend the opening, there’s still time to view the pieces. They will be displayed until June 4, so enjoy a cup of coffee while surrounded by student artwork. Copies of the “Mindprints” magazine also will be available.
