Willowbrook Student Council hosts annual blood drive

On April 11, Willowbrook students participated in a blood drive at the school to donate blood for LifeSource. The blood drive was hosted by the Willowbrook Student Council. More than 224 students participated, and 190 units of blood were collected.

“Each unit of blood saves up to three lives, so I’m pleased to share Willowbrook students helped save up to 570 lives,” said Jamie Gourley, Student Council advisor. “Because of the number of donations during the drive, LifeSource will donate between $1,500 and $2,000 to the Willowbrook Parent Organization to be used toward scholarships.”

Students, staff members and community members are welcome to continue donating toward Willowbrook’s total at the Villa Park donor center at 100 E. Roosevelt Road. Donors should use code 530C to add to Willowbrook’s blood drive total.
