Willowbrook Football Head Coach honored for 100th career victory

Willowbrook Football Head Coach Nick Hildreth (pictured above) has had an outstanding career with the school’s athletic program, which includes securing his 100th win on Sept. 4 against Leyden (26-9).

To celebrate that incredible accomplishment, Willowbrook Athletics honored and recognized Hildreth and his coaching staff with an announcement before the varsity game on Sept. 11 versus Downers Grove South.

Below are some highlights of Hildreth’s career.

• In 2017, Hildreth was named as the Papa John’s Bears High School “Coach of the Week” for Week 9 of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) football season.
  
  
• In 2022, Hildreth was honored by Prep Insight Magazine & EAR Sportsmen’s Club as one of the Great Coaches of the Year.
  
  
• Under Hildreth’s leadership, the Willowbrook Football Team has qualified for the IHSA State Playoffs every season since 2016 (excluding 2020, because of the COVID-19 pandemic). The team also won the West Suburban Conference Gold Division every year from 2017 to 2024.
