Willowbrook Athletics is proud to share seniors Allison “Allie” Coppersmith and Hayden Roscoe have been named as the Anyway’s Athletes of the Month for March.
Name: Allison “Allie” Coppersmith
Sport: Softball
March successes: Throughout the opening weeks of the softball season, Coppersmith has distinguished herself as a cornerstone of the team. She currently leads the roster with an impressive .529 batting average. Beyond her statistical contributions, Coppersmith’s exemplary character and unwavering positive attitude serve as a catalyst for team morale.
Name: Hayden Roscoe
Sport: Boys Track & Field
March successes: Throughout March, Roscoe was on fire on the track! He started the month by running a leg of the 4x200-meter relay, helping the team post the third-fastest time in school history for the event. During that same meet, Roscoe also ran a leg of the 4x400-meter relay and the 55-meter hurdles, finishing in 4th place and 3rd place, respectively. Roscoe showed up for his team at the West Suburban Conference meet as well. He competed in four events, which is the maximum number allowed, and earned All-Conference honors in three of them. Roscoe finished the month by qualifying for the Illinois Top Times Indoor Championships in four events – the most of any athlete in program history! He qualified in the 60-meter hurdles, 4x200-meter relay, 4x400-meter relay and 400-meter dash.
