Willowbrook hosts National send-off celebration for member of Girls Flag Football Team

On March 17, Willowbrook hosted a National send-off celebration to recognize and honor senior Leigh Bernardo (pictured above, with Willowbrook Girls Flag Football coaches Rachel Karos and Nick Hildreth).

Earlier this year, Bernardo received an invitation to participate in the USA Football Adult Flag Football National Team Trials, which takes place from March 19 to 22 in California.

That event will serve as a tryout and an opportunity for Bernardo to be selected to represent the U.S. at the 2026 IFAF World Championships in Germany.
