Willowbrook hosts State send-off celebration for member of Girls Bowling Team

On Feb. 19, Willowbrook hosted a State send-off celebration for junior Elizabeth Pettinger, who competed in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Girls Bowling State Tournament. She is pictured (second from left) with her family, including her sister, Katie, who is a coach for the Willowbrook Girls Bowling Team.

That event took place on Feb. 20 and 21 at The Cherry Bowl in Rockford. Pettinger qualified for state after competing against more than 100 bowlers at the Sectional Tournament and finishing in 4th place. She bowled a six-game series of 1,130 (an average of 188.33 a game).
