Willowbrook sophomore named Suburban Life Athlete of the Week for girls wrestling

Willowbrook is proud to share sophomore Angie Manlapaz (pictured above) was recently named as the Suburban Life Athlete of the Week for girls wrestling. She was selected as Athlete of the Week through an online vote. 

Manlapaz earned this recognition as a result of winning the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Girls Wrestling Regional Championship (in the 115-pound division) on Feb. 7 at Glenbard West High School. In the process, Manlapaz made school history by becoming the first female wrestler at Willowbrook to win an individual Regional title.
