Willowbrook named to 2025 AP School Honor Roll

Willowbrook has again been named to College Board’s AP School Honor Roll. We are excited and proud to share the school has received the silver level of distinction for 2025 – an improvement from bronze in 2024!

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose Advanced Placement (AP) programs are delivering results for students, while broadening participation. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit and maximizing college readiness.

In 2024-25:

  • 467 Willowbrook students took at least one AP exam.

  • Willowbrook students took a total of 872 AP exams.

  • Willowbrook students earned a score of 3 or higher on 75 percent of the AP exams they completed, providing them with an opportunity to earn college credit. 

District 88 offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes more than 30 Advanced Placement (AP)/college-level courses and more than 50 dual-credit and collegiate-credit courses in 18 career pathway areas, along with award-winning fine arts programming. The district is proud to have a diverse learning community and is focused on meeting the needs of all its students and providing multiple and flexible pathways to help ensure they are prepared to successfully accomplish their post-high school goals.

During the 2024-25 school year, District 88 students earned 5,574 college credits through AP courses, Project Lead The Way, College of DuPage, Technology Center of DuPage, Elmhurst University and Dominican University, giving them a potential opportunity to save nearly $2.6 million in college tuition. Students also earned nearly 1,700 career certifications in 2024-25.
