Willowbrook Girls Volleyball Team hosts inaugural Hall of Champions to recognize alumni

On Sept. 25, the Willowbrook Girls Volleyball Team hosted its inaugural Hall of Champions event.

Inductees include girls volleyball alumni who reached major statistical milestones (1,000 or more in any category) during their high school career.

This year’s honorees are: 

• Payton Ceh (class of 2020): 1,000 digs
  
  
• Calli Kenny (class of 2024): 1,000 kills
  
  
• Hannah Kenny (class of 2025): 1,000 kills and 1,500 assists
  
  
• Katie Linnig (class of 2022): 1,000 assists
  
  
• Sarah McCarthy (class of 2010): 1,000 assists
  
  
• 2023 Girls Volleyball Team: Third-place finish in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State Finals (view a list of the players at http://www.dupage88.net/WBGirlsVolleyballTeam2023-24)

During the Hall of Champions ceremony, the inductees (as well as all girls volleyball alumni in attendance) were announced before the varsity game. They also were included in the team’s pregame meeting/huddle. Each honoree was presented with a personalized banner, which will be displayed annually in the school’s main gym throughout the girls volleyball season.
