On Aug. 15, District 88 attended a sneak peek of the “Lilacs & Legacy" documentary at the Lombard Historical Society. The video, which officially premiered on Aug. 22, showcases the history and traditions, businesses, and intergovernmental agencies/organizations in the Village of Lombard.
District 88 and Willowbrook are featured in the video, and Superintendent Dr. Jean Barbanente and Willowbrook Principal Dr. Daniel Krause share fun facts about the school.
They highlight the tremendous GreatSchools ranking Willowbrook recently received, where the school earned a College Readiness Rating of 9/10 and outperforms 86% of similar schools in Illinois. They also proudly mention the variety of opportunities available for students, including a comprehensive curriculum with credentialed career-based curricular tracks, more than 30 Advanced Placement college-level courses and more than 50 dual-credit and collegiate-credit courses in 18 career pathway areas, along with award-winning fine arts programming.
