Willowbrook hosts State send-off celebration for members of Science Olympiad Team

On April 25, Willowbrook hosted a State send-off celebration for members of the school’s Science Olympiad Team, who will compete in the Illinois Individual State Tournament (IIST).

That event will take place on April 26 at McHenry County College and is for students who earned a medal at their Regional Science Olympiad Tournament, but whose team did not earn a bid to the Illinois Science Olympiad State Tournament.

Those students are:

  • Anatomy & Physiology: Seniors Isra Khattak and Rachel Kodipally

  • Astronomy: Sophomore Claire Brennan and senior Tyler Zabilka

  • Electric Vehicle: Sophomore Claire Brennan

  • Entomology: Sophomore Rosemary Rozario and senior Caius Polivka

  • Forensics: Sophomore Shayan Siddiqi and senior Bilal Arif
