Addison Trail hosts State send-off celebration for members of Science Olympiad Team

On April 25, Addison Trail hosted a State send-off celebration for members of the school’s Science Olympiad Team who will compete in the Illinois Individual State Tournament (IIST).

That event will take place on April 26 at McHenry County College and is for students who earned a medal at their Regional Science Olympiad Tournament, but whose team did not earn a bid to the Illinois Science Olympiad State Tournament.

Those students are:

  • Helicopter: Freshman Andrew Roycewicz and senior Thomas Cabrera

  • Geologic Mapping: Senior Thomas Cabrera and junior Ebad Khan
     
  • Disease Detectives: Seniors Jacqueline Bugante and Natalia De Los Santos-Castellanos

  • Astronomy: Seniors Sean Eckel and Erick Dorado

  • Entomology: Seniors Jacqueline Bugante and Antonina Pecoraro
