Willowbrook Speech Team earns awards at Glenbard South High School tournament

On Jan. 18, members of the Willowbrook Speech Team competed in a tournament at Glenbard South High School, where they were named as tournament champions after finishing in 1st place out of 14 schools!

Dramatic Interpretation: Senior Margaret Brennan, 4th place; freshman Mia Weems, 5th place; senior Joshua Jackson, 6th place

Extemporaneous Speaking: Freshman Shem Rodrigues, 6th place

Humorous Interpretation: Senior Jason Nelson, 3rd place

Impromptu Speaking: Senior Margaret Brennan, 1st place (tournament champion)

Oratorical Declamation: Sophomore Mia Ojeda, 1st place (tournament champion); freshman Haiqa Mahmood, 4th place; sophomore Madeleine Calvillo, 5th place

Original Comedy: Senior Colton Emmert, 5th place
