Willowbrook Speech Team earns awards at DeKalb High School tournament

On Dec. 9, members of the Willowbrook Speech Team competed in a tournament at DeKalb High School, where they finished in 3rd place out of 25 schools.

Dramatic Duet Acting: Sophomores Kaye Valencia and Milo Barnett, Novice 1st place

Dramatic Interpretation: Senior Margaret Brennan, Next-in 1st place; Freshman Mia Weems, Novice 2nd place; Senior Joshua Jackson, Novice 5th place

Extemporaneous Speaking: Freshman Shem Rodrigues, 6th place

Humorous Interpretation: Senior Jason Nelson, Next-in 6th place
