Willowbrook Speech Team earns awards at Regional contest

On Feb. 3, members of the Willowbrook Speech Team competed in a Regional contest at Fenton High School and came in 4th place. Willowbrook had 13 Finalists, and the students below advanced to Sectionals, which will take place on Feb. 10 at Downers Grove South High School.

Dramatic Interpretation: Junior Margaret Brennan, 2^nd place

Humorous Interpretation: Junior Jason Nelson, 4^th place

Impromptu Speaking: Junior Margaret Brennan, 1^st place (Tournament Champion)

Informative Speaking: Junior Nuha Ashar, 3^rd place

Original Comedy: Junior Colton Emmert, 4^th place

Original Oratory: Freshman Alina Iqbal, 2^nd place

Radio Speaking: Sophomore Suha Salman, 4^th place

Special Occasion Speaking: Junior Frank Mendez, 3^rd place
