Willowbrook ready to celebrate Homecoming 2023

It’s nearly Homecoming time at Willowbrook, and this year’s theme is “A Night in Hollywood.”

From Sept. 18 to 23, the school will celebrate with a variety of Homecoming activities. Below is the schedule of events.

Sept. 18

  • Theme: Neon

  • Lunch activity: Mummy Wrap 

Sept. 19

  • Theme: Soccer Mom vs. BBQ Dad

  • Lunch activity: Pie-Eating Contest 

Sept. 20

  • Theme: Stunt Double Day/Twin Day

  • Lunch activity: Karaoke

  • Evening event: Time TBD, Dodgeball tournament and bonfire

Sept. 21

  • Theme: Barbie vs. Ken

  • Lunch activity: Human Ring Toss

Sept. 22

  • Theme: Class Colors
    • Seniors: Blue
    • Juniors: Black
    • Sophomores: Silver/gray
    • Freshmen: White

  • Lunch activity: Name That Song

  • Day events:

    • 1:50 p.m., Homecoming Pep Assembly - pictured above, from a previous Homecoming

    • 4 p.m., Homecoming Parade: The route will begin at the Ruggard Gazebo (at Park Boulevard and Ardmore Avenue in Villa Park) and will end at the high school (1250 S. Ardmore Ave. in Villa Park). PLEASE NOTE: FROM ABOUT 4 TO 4:45 P.M. ON SEPT. 22, ARDMORE AVENUE WILL BE CLOSED FROM PARK BOULEVARD TO HIGHRIDGE ROAD FOR THE PARADE. Sept. 23

  • Evening event: 7 to 10 p.m., Homecoming Dance “A Night in Hollywood” at Willowbrook - pictured above, from a previous Homecoming
    • Tickets will be available for $20 each from Sept. 13 to 20 at the bookstore.

    • The form to bring a guest from another school is available in the Deans Office.
