Willowbrook Marching Band earns awards for Fourth of July Parade performance

On July 4, the Willowbrook Marching Band performed in the Villa Park Fourth of July Parade, hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2801. To watch the band warming up for the event, click on the video above.

Throughout June, the band members spent numerous hours learning new music and how to march in preparation of the parade. As a result, they were chosen as the Best Musical Performance, and they also earned 3^rd place in the Community Choice category. They were honored for those accomplishments during the July 24 Village of Villa Park Board meeting, where they were presented with two certificates in recognition of their successes (see photos below).

 The band will continue this strong start to its fall season with a camp from July 31 to Aug. 4. The Marching Warriors also invite everyone to come out and show their support during the varsity football games this year. See details on Willowbrook’s website at www.dupage88.net/wbhs.
