On March 4, Willowbrook senior Amelia Tortorici sang the National Anthem during the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Girls Basketball State Tournament at Illinois State University. To watch her performance, click on the video above.
Tortorici was selected for this honor through an audition process in cooperation with the Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA). Students from IHSA-member schools had the opportunity to audition during the Illinois Music Education Conference, which took place from Jan. 25 to 28 in Peoria.
