Willowbrook students participate in interactive activity to learn about velocity and time

On Sept. 20, students in Willowbrook science teacher Matthew Zaucha’s physics classes participated in a fun, interactive activity.

The students rolled softballs down a ramp to graphically and mathematically investigate/model the relationship between velocity and time. They completed three trials to collect more than 30 data points, where they measured the position in time and calculated the instantaneous velocity of the ball to make their graphs, equations and formulas.
