Five Willowbrook students participate in Illinois High School Art Exhibition

On March 13, five Willowbrook students displayed their artwork during the Illinois High School Art Exhibition (IHSAE) in Chicago.

Those students are:

• Senior Arianna Sanchez (pictured above): Design – Earned an Honorable Mention
  
  
• Senior Elainey Cervantes: Sculpture

• Senior Tess Placek (pictured above): Pottery – Earned a Silver Award
  
  
• Senior Eric Duffey: Painting
  
  
• Senior Guadalupe Flores: Mixed Media
  
  
  
• Sanchez also was offered $324,000 in scholarships from numerous universities. 

• Cervantes (pictured above) also competed in the IHSAE / ArtConnectED Art Throwdown. This is a live, fast-paced, head-to-head, interscholastic visual arts competition, where students are given a timed, hands-on, visually creative Art Challenge. Cervantes competed in the mixed media category, and the challenge was figure drawing.
