District 88 honors and remembers Sept. 11, 2001

In honor of the 20th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, we would like to take a moment to remember those who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks that took place on that day. We also thank those who continue to protect our freedoms.

At Addison Trail, a book display is showcased to serve as a visual reminder of the impact of Sept. 11, 2001 (pictured above, top). On Sept. 10, members of the Addison Trail student broadcast interviewed first responders with the Addison Police Department and the Addison Fire Protection District, who shared their memories of that day and what it means to them. The Addison Trail Concert Choir also performed the National Anthem during the segment. To watch the event, click on the video above.

At Willowbrook, staff members shared their memories and experiences of Sept. 11, 2001, which are featured in a book display at the library media center (pictured above, below.)
