Willowbrook yearbook earns national recognition for cover design

The 2019-20 edition of Willowbrook’s yearbook (called Centurion) has been recognized for excellence in cover design by Jostens and is featured in the 2020 Jostens “Look Book,” which celebrates the best of the best in yearbook design and coverage.

The winning cover design (pictured above) features the letterman jacket of Willowbrook English teacher and alumnus Jim White, who graduated in 1982. The editors of the 2019-20 Centurion are Katherine Tortorici and Logan Mulholland (class of 2020), and the yearbook adviser is Eleni Sianis.

The “Look Book” is a collection of spreads and photos from outstanding yearbooks and their creative themes, covers, designs, relevant coverage, storytelling copy and photography. Along with design excellence, the annually published “Look Book” honors the important role well-crafted yearbooks play in helping schools chronicle the experiences, stories and achievements most relevant to students and that academic year. The Centurion was one of 479 yearbooks selected from more than 1,200 entries.
