Willowbrook students attend United States Hispanic Leadership Institute Conference

Willowbrook students and staff participate in the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI) Conference in Chicago. Members of Willowbrook's Hispanic Leadership Club, called HOLA, attended the event on Feb. 20. Participants heard motivational speakers and attended a college fair and a series of forums, seminars and workshops.

On Feb. 20, 53 Willowbrook students attended the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI) Conference in Chicago.

Those students are part of the school’s Hispanic Leadership Club, called HOLA. Participants heard motivational speakers and attended a college fair and a series of forums, seminars and workshops, which included information about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The conference brings participants together to develop and/or strengthen their leadership skills and to grow as servant leaders.”

The students were accompanied by Willowbrook teachers Ivan Jimenez, Dmitri Martinez, Miguel Molina and Dalila Ramirez, as well as parent Lilia Franco.
