Seven Willowbrook students and alumni earn Eagle Scout status

Seven Willowbrook students and alumni (pictured above, from left to right) – senior Francis (Frankie) O’Byrne III, Riley Cullerton (class of 2019), senior Vincenzo Ledonne II, Mohammed Salman (class of 2018), Nicholas Danielson (class of 2018), Michael Danielson (class of 2019) and Thomas Danielson (class of 2019) – have earned Eagle Scout status, the highest rank attainable in Boy Scouts of America. Those who receive that rank earn a total of 21 merit badges; demonstrate Scout Oath and Scout Law in their daily life; and plan, develop and give leadership to others in a service project. Read more about the Eagle Scout process at https://tinyurl.com/EagleScoutInfo.

These seven Eagle Scouts are with Boy Scout Troop 199 in Villa Park, and they earned a total of 229 merit badges and 38 other recognitions and awards. Their projects involved more than 1,700 volunteer hours combined and benefit the homeless, St. Alexander Catholic Church, York Township Senior Center, Willowbrook High School and the Village of Villa Park. They have participated in a combined 80 years of scouting and encourage other boys and girls to get involved in their local scout packs/troops.
