From March 22 to 27, the Addison Trail Music Department toured and performed in Orlando, Fla. Nearly 200 students, parents and staff members traveled to Walt Disney World.
On March 24, the group participated in workshops provided by Disney professional musicians, with a focus on career preparation (pictured above). The final product of each clinic was a recording of the students providing the soundtrack to a clip from a Disney feature film. The pupils also visited Epcot and saw the a cappella group Voices of Liberty, as well as performances indigenous to the countries represented in the World Showcase.
On March 25, the Addison Trail Marching Blazers performed in the parade of bands at the Magic Kingdom (pictured above), and students also watched the Main Street Philharmonic marching band play.
On March 26, the Addison Trail Choir sang at Waterview Park (pictured above, top), and the Orchestra and Guitar Ensemble played at Marketplace Stage (pictured above, bottom).
On March 27, the group went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park before heading home.
