Addison Trail students visit Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center

Holocaust survivor Barney Sidler (left) poses with Addison Trail special education teacher Annette Severino and two of her students. Students in Severino’s English 10 class visited the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center on Oct. 24.

On Oct. 24, 11 Addison Trail students in special education teacher Annette Severino’s English 10 class traveled to the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center.

During their visit, they were able to meet and speak with Barney Sidler, a Holocaust survivor. The students are reading the book “Night” by Elie Wiesel in class, and Sidler shared a room with Wiesel in a concentration camp.
