On Aug. 29, District 88 and Addison Trail staff members participated in the Village of Addison Sister Cities Golf Adventure at Links & Tees Golf Facility in Addison.

The golf outing was a fundraiser for the village’s Sister Cities program with Triggiano, Italy. Through that student-exchange program, Addison hosts students from Triggiano, and Addison Trail students travel to Italy. The Village of Addison Sister Cities Committee continues to raise funds on behalf of Addison Trail students to provide scholarships for them to go to Italy.

An Addison Trail team and a Village of Addison team tied for 1st place in the golf tournament. The Addison Trail team (comprised of Addison Trail Principal Michael Bolden, Addison Trail Athletic Director Matt Thompson, Addison Trail Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department Head Juliann Boudouris and Addison Trail CTE teacher Michael Maaske) received the Village of Addison Sister Cities Mayor’s Trophy. Steve Anichini with Culver's of Addison donated ice cream sundaes for participants.
