Addison Trail senior Adrian Reyes has earned the Sawblade Certificate from Woodwork Career Alliance (WCA) of North America.

To receive that recognition, Reyes had to pass the Skill Standards BASIC Measuring and Layout evaluations, gain tool points by being tested on five tool operations and take the WCA Sawblade written/online test.

“Reyes is the first student from Addison Trail to earn his certification from the WCA,” said Jeff Angle, Addison Trail Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher. “Through this achievement, Reyes is able to add something to his résumé and show he knows how to use certain machines and preform various tasks on them. This is becoming an industry-recognized certification.”
