Addison Trail students and staff register to vote

On Feb. 6 and 16, Addison Trail students and staff members had the opportunity to register to vote in the March 20 primary election.

Members of the League of Women Voters helped with registration, and 94 students and staff members signed up.

A law signed by former Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn in 2013 allows 17-year-olds to cast a ballot in primary elections, as long as they’re 18 years old by the general election date. For more information about that law (House Bill 226), go to http://tinyurl.com/jno2st8.
