On Nov. 12, Addison Trail hosted its 3rd annual “Kermes” (Latino food festival). One of the highlights of the event was performances by two Folkloric dance groups (pictured).

On Nov. 12, the halls of Addison Trail were transformed into a carnival – filled with vibrant decorations, the sounds of traditional Latino music and the inviting aroma of traditional Latino dishes.

The event was the school’s 3rd annual “Kermes” (a Latino food festival), which was hosted by the Addison Trail Interact Club and Padres Latinos en Acción group. About 300 people attended the festival, which raised about $2,000 for student scholarships.

Along with the food, which was donated by Carnicerias Jimenez, the event featured a disc jockey, performances by two Folkloric dance groups, a silent auction, face painting, games and more.
