On Aug. 24, District 88 and Addison Trail staff members participated in the Village of Addison Sister Cities Golf Adventure at Links & Tees Golf Facility in Addison.
The golf outing was a fundraiser for the village’s Sister Cities program with Triggiano, Italy. Through that student-exchange program, Addison hosts students from Triggiano, and Addison Trail students travel to Italy.
Nearly 60 people participated in the fundraiser, and proceeds will go toward scholarships for students who want to participate in the Sister Cities program. The Village of Addison Sister Cities Committee continues to raise funds on behalf of Addison Trail students to provide scholarships for them to travel to Italy.
The members of the winning golf team are Addison Trail Counselor Shane Cole, Willowbrook Assistant Principal Doug Wildes, Addison Trail Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department Chair Juliann Boudouris and Addison Trail CTE teacher Mike Maaske. As the winners, they received the Village of Addison Sister Cities Mayor’s Trophy.
