On March 9 and 10, more than 30 Addison Trail seniors completed placement testing for College of DuPage (COD), as part of the COD Connections Series.
COD staff members came to Addison Trail and proctored the placement testing in our computer labs. To prepare for that test, students visited COD on March 3 and participated in reading and writing workshops. Those workshops are open to all students, and more information can be found at http://tinyurl.com/hh9qeus. Students who plan to attend COD need to complete placement testing in math, reading and writing. At the end of April, senior students will meet with advisors from COD to complete and review their education plans and to choose classes for the 2016-17 school year.
COD offers a number of programs for high school students, so they can earn college credit while in high school. For more information about COD’s early admission, go to http://tinyurl.com/h93mh63.
COD also offers a program where students can complete their bachelor’s degree through COD courses and courses at 17 local universities. That program is called 3+1 and offers degrees in nursing, business management, health care and criminal justice. For more information about the 3+1 program, go to http://tinyurl.com/jpd3ey2.
There also is an Engineering Pathways program for freshmen, who can then enroll in the engineering program at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Students are accepted into that program from high school and must maintain a 3.3 GPA at COD. For details about that program, go to http://tinyurl.com/gupa9tm.
