Addison Trail Band Director published on music blog

Addison Trail Band Director Mark Corey recently had an article published for SmartMusic.

The article, entitled “Establishing Expectations for Success,” is featured in SmartMusic’s blog and newsletter and can be viewed at http://tinyurl.com/o7nzs4y. 

In the article, Corey focuses on the need for music teachers to define what success means for themselves and their students. As Corey says, “The standard to which success is measured must be first and foremost clear in the teacher’s mind before those expectations can be expressed to others.”

Corey also offers tips to establish those expectations and discusses the importance of creating a vision and mission.
