Counseling Corner: Seniors prepare to say goodbye, as Addison Trail gears up for end-of-year events

As senior students prepare to move on to the next chapter of their lives, the Addison Trail Guidance Department shares important information about end-of-year events at the school.

Senior Sequence Day
When: May 29

Details: Appropriate attire and behavior is expected (dress casual)

What will take place: Graduation practice, Senior Breakfast, Senior Slideshow and cap and gown distribution

Cap and gown orders
Details: Seniors should have ordered their cap and gown in September. Those who are unsure about their cap and gown order should call Jostens at 630-963-3500.

Extra graduation tickets
When: Extra graduation tickets will be available on May 26 in the Guidance Office. Students will need to have their student ID to receive two extra tickets.

Final transcripts
When: Transcripts will be mailed by July 1 to the college or university requested by each senior. All fees must be paid before transcripts can be sent.

Prom
When: June 5

Where: Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago

Details: Tickets cost $130 a person and will be on sale from May 18 to 29 in the bookstore. This year's prom theme is "Tonight We're Gonna Party Like it's 1925!" (a "Great Gatsby" theme).

Graduation
When: 3 p.m. on June 7 (all students need to report to the auditorium by 1:30 p.m.)

Where: Gym

Details: Parking during graduation can be difficult, and we ask that you please plan accordingly.
