Addison Trail students recognized during Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry Student Honors Banquet

On April 21, Addison Trail seniors were honored by the Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry during the chamber’s Student Honors Banquet.

The event took place at The Empress Banquets in Addison and recognized the students for their academic and extracurricular accomplishments.

The class of 2015 Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry Scholarship honorees are Jake Atiyeh, Alejandro Avalos, Adolfo Baca, Kelly Blucher, Franc De Guzman, Estefania Diaz, Julia Dziabis, Eric Gilliam, Viola Gjanci, Louie Hawkins, Jennifer Hurtado, Izabela Kantor, Yasmeen Kazkaz, Al-Baab Ali Khan, Cheyenne Lam, Megan Levonyak, Elizabeth Lodzinski, Jeffrey Maginity, Ryan Majka, Gabriella Morrone, Joseph Nasti, Dakota Noel, Robert Raniszewski, Saul Rivera, Emma Schmitt, Kimberly Schonder, Michal Silezin, Margarita Sumbulla, Jackson Ustas and Joanna Villalobos. Also recognized were Hannah Yurek and Nicole Federighi (daughter of an Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry member). District 88 Superintendent Dr. Scott Helton and Addison Trail Principal Adam Cibulka presented each student with a certificate for his or her achievements.

Noel was named as the recipient of the Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry Scholarship. Rivera was recognized with the A.J. LaRocca Memorial Foundation Scholarship, along with Jeremy Miller (a Willowbrook alumnus, who’s attending College of DuPage).

Sumbulla served as the student speaker and congratulated her classmates on their successes. The keynote speaker was Addison Trail alumna Kymberlee Kaye Raya (class of 1989), who spoke to the honorees about the importance of pursuing their dreams and passions. Raya is the Chief Imagination Officer for Big Shot Marketing Inc. and is the founder of Fly Girl Dance & Fitness.
