Addison Trail to present Student-directed One Acts

Starting at 7 p.m. on May 1 and 2, five Addison Trail students will take the lead during the school’s Student-directed One Acts.

The evening will feature acts from four plays.

1. "Speed Date" by Janet Allard (directed by sophomores Arika Sypolt and Sevina Topalska)
2. "The New Play" by William Saroyan (directed by junior Victoria Robles)
3. "Cut" by Ed Monk (directed by senior Gabriella Morrone)
4. "Check Please: Take 2" by Jonathan Rand (directed by sophomore Annalise Morrone)

The event is free, but donations will be accepted to support an arts charity chosen by the directors. Addison Trail Theatre Director Anna Jakubka said what makes this year’s show unique is all four directors are female.

“Audience members can expect four great shows, completely directed and produced by students,” Jakubka said.
