Addison Trail students qualify for BPA State competition

Thirty members of the Addison Trail Business Professionals of America (BPA) Team will compete at the State competition, which will take place from Feb. 26 to 28 at DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago Oak Brook hotel.

Those students qualified after competing at the Regional competition. Addison Trail had 15 first-place finishers, 11 second-place finishers and 12 third-place finishers.

First-place finishers are:
Senior Brandee Samlow, senior Julia Dziabis, senior Eric Gilliam and senior Joe Nasti: Small Business Management Team

Senior Carlos Cantu: Fundamental Word Processing and Basic Office Systems & Procedures

Gilliam: Prepared Speech

Senior Franc De Guzman: Advanced Word Processing

Jennifer Hurtado: Advanced Office Systems & Procedures

Senior Joanna Villalobos: Fundamental Accounting

Dziabis: Legal Office Procedures

Sophomore Leslie Tolentino: Keyboarding Production

Senior Maggie Sumbulla: Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications and Fundamental Desktop Publishing

Senior Osvaldo Noyola: Advanced Accounting

Senior Peter Mierkowski: Banking & Finance

Senior Saul Rivera: Fundamentals of Web Design

Senior Viola Gjanci: Payroll Accounting
